A few years back I was scrolling through FB looking for inspiration and I saw that someone had found a ring in a wedding vacation location. They posted the picture and so i brought the idea into my writing session the next day. Looking for placement
Who to pitch it to, lol. I believe this song will land somewhere. It checks off all the boxes in my book, with tempo, vocals, harmony, and a great story! Just a matter of where. Thanks Brent!

There’s a ring in ocean, it lies beneath the salty sand
that use to live on someone’s hand
The light in the harbor, shines upon what use to be
Drifts across the open sea
and nobody’s knows how it got there
Does anybody even care?
Nothing is as lonesome, as a ring in the ocean
When Silence is its only kind of sound
Did it just slip off a finger was another promise broken
Tonight it’s only hoping to be found
There’s a ring in the ocean, 14 carat mystery
As Tarnished as its history
A Heart and forever, once so perfectly engraved
now you can hardly see the name
and no one can hear its golden prayer
Is somebody looking for it, way out there
Ch
and Once in awhile when the waters all divided
And the moon moves the tide, it starts to come alive
For a moment...

There’s a ring in ocean, it lies beneath the salty sand
that use to live on someone’s hand
