In Her Eyes by Rita Weyls and Paul deMarco © 2021
He said he’d get there by 2 o ‘clock,
be packed and ready to go
The flight leaves at 4:15
nonstop to San Francisco
Mama got her a brand new suitcase,
filled with her best clothes
As the sun begins to fade.. she waits for him to show… Cause
In her eyes… he’s the perfect one
He could never let her down
She’s idolized him... all her life
But he made... her... cry... too many times
When she was only nine
Well mama tried to console her child,
take her out for a ride
But her excuses weren't enough
to cover up his constant lies
So she took her little suitcase
and put away her clothes
Cos there was nothing more a mama could say to stop the tears that flowed
Chorus:
Bridge:
She was too young to understand
He couldn't be that man
Cos no matter how hard she tried
He never saw the love in her eyes
Chorus:

Hi Rita and Paul,
Nice picking intro with good lyrics. There’s a little rush to get all the words in sometimes but more practice should help the flow.
It’s a sad unfortunate song but what happened to the 9yr/old? I need to know because it’ll bother me.
You should release it as a single.
Thanks, Uncle Uncle Brent
