No Stoplight Town

Verse 1
We got a church clock that chimes every hour
But the hands stopped in '54
There’s a bank and a gas station...that doubles up as a general store

And you know you can count on that south bound train
Rolling through at ten to two every single day

The rotary board that you read when you leave says…why don’t ya’ll come back
We use it for target practice now… How ironic is that

Speed sign’s 25 at the city limit
If you come in way too hot there's no cop there to see it

There’s one yellow light swinging out past the square
If you blink when you drive through you’d never even know it was there

All the buildings boarded up shoulda been torn down
But nobody’s got the money in this
No stoplight town
And it's my kinda town

just a broken down John Deere
If you’re looking for some entertainment…

Sometimes we climb the water tower…take a 12 pack of beer
Sit up there for hours…watching the sun disappear
