I recently found this old song when I was going through some old files. I signed this with a publisher in Nashville many years ago but nothing ever came of it. I received permission to share it on social media in the hopes that someone would be interested in recording it. I usually write country but this is more pop/boy band kind of song. I would love to know what y'all think.
I am always interested in feedback, the good, bad or ugly. I can handle it. Thanks

Don’t Leave The Leavin’ To Me
Words and music by Allan Rosensweig
Been a long night hiding behind welled-up eyes
Watching the clock, more wasted time
Waiting for compassion to break through the clouds
But the sun’s casting down long shadows of doubt
You think the grass is so much greener out there
But here by your side there’s a chill in the air
So please don’t leave the leavin’ to me
I don’t want to be strong and you don’t want to be lonely
Let’s make a compromise
Keep each other satisfied
Til somebody else takes my key
I don’t want to go
Baby so don’t leave the leavin’ to me
There were nights of magic but lately I find
That I’m waking up here behind enemy lines
Our love is hanging on just by a thread
But I’m comfortable still on my side of this bed
You may be right the grass is greener somewhere
Maybe I’m lazy, maybe I’m scared
So please don’t leave the leavin’ to me
I don’t want to be strong and you don’t want to be lonely
Let’s make a compromise
Keep each other satisfied
Til somebody else takes my key
I don’t want to go
Baby so don’t leave the leavin’ to me
Oh I don’t want to go
Baby so don’t leave the leavin’ to me
