Paul,
Nice guitar tone and great vocals but you need a guitar solo or at the least some guitar noodling.
The first Verse is good but it would make more sense if you used “from the shore” on the “But I sailed a one man crew on the shore” line. This song would be great for singer-songwriter or an epic string arrangement, too. My favorite line is “But I’ve crawled on my belly in the heat of a storm Trying to be the last to come first” … That’s deep. Keep swinging! Thanks, Brent

Anyone but you by Paul deMarco ©2031
Well I never lived by the ocean before
And woke up to the sound of the waves
But i sailed a one man crew on the shore
Set adrift and stranded for days
If I could be anywhere in the world
Under the midday sun
I wouldn't be with anyone else but you… yeah you
Well I never spent much time in the woods
Surrounded by soft earth and pine
But I been lost in a forest of steel
Looking for a home to call mine
Chorus
No I've never wandered through hot desert sand
Wanting to quench my thirst
But I've crawled on my belly in the heat of a storm
Trying to be the last to come first
Chorus

Love the imagery. Unpredictable rhymes, too. Nice job.
