This song is a bout being raised by two sets of parents and what a blessing it can be to have two sets of parents love you when some children don't have one. Breaking up and Divorce was not common back in the older days and was looked to be a bad thing if it happend. This day and age it might be the best thing that could happen for the child and is more common. I had a step dad and mom and I'm very blessed for them.

TWO
Verse I
Seems like a family’s more than what runs through your veins
I grew up in two homes where members weren’t based off DNA
I’ve counted all my blessings since my parents found someone new
And I accepted it, when I didn’t want to
Pre-Chorus
Come from a broken home, live with strangers I didn’t know
I was just a child, How to Hell could I have known-I’d have
Chorus
Two Dad’s raise me, Two Moms love me crazy, two family trees will always be a lot for any child to go through
Two times a month, in two different beds, two sets of parents, there’s a lot to be said, the good lord had a plan
and it came through, when a broken home, breaks into two
Verse II
I’m just glad my mom and dad, still get along
I know it had to be tough, breaking up and moving on
I’m thankful they love each other just enough to put me first
Giving me two homes to grow up in was a blessing and a curse - having
Chorus
Two Dad’s raise me, Two Moms love me crazy, two family trees, will always be, a lot for any child to go through
Two times a month, in two different beds, two sets of parents, there’s a lot to be said, the good lord had a plan
and it came through, When a broken home, breaks into two, breaks into two
Bridge
I didn’t want to come from a broken home, live with strangers I didn’t even know
I was just a child, How to Hell could I have known-I’d have
Chorus
Two Dad’s raise me, Two Moms love me crazy, two family trees will always be a lot for any child to go through
Two times a month, in two different beds, two sets of parents, there’s a lot to be said, the good lord had a plan
And it came through, Ya the good lord had a plan and it came through, when a broken home breaks into two.
