Great examples of slant rhymes having a great impact on the ears instead of trying to get exact rhymes on every line and it then becoming a mediocre song. Nice work, Mr. B!

That is simply lovely. Profound message and the way it’s presented (tempo, melody, guitar rhythm) makes it just sink in. This is great, especially in the turbulent times we live in.

I like the lyric content, the voice inflection you use really helps emphasize or accent the notes very good song

If The Devil Died Tomorrow

Written by Brent Baxter

(by David Micheal, Brent Baxter)

If the devil died tomorrow, would we even notice
Or are we too far down this road to hell we’re going
Are we so stuck in our ways that this world wouldn’t really change
Would it keep on burning without him to fan the flames?
Or would we...

CHORUS:
... start to treat each other
More like sisters and brothers
Could we see the light more clearly
With so much darkness gone
Would the angels on our shoulders
Have more of our attention
And would God’s voice be easier to follow
If the devil died tomorrow

If the devil died tomorrow, would we cross our battle lines
Could we stop seeing him in every face on the other side
Would we just see a soul trying to do the best they can
If the devil met his Maker, would we reach out a hand
And...

CHORUS

I’ve read the book
And I know how it ends
Oh, but we can do our part until then

CHORUS:
We can start to treat each other
More like sisters and brothers
And shine the light more clearly
Till all the dark is gone
And let the angels on our shoulders
Have more of our attention
'Cuz love can heal all this pain and sorrow
But it’s our choice which voice we follow
Why wait till tomorrow?
Oh, tomorrow
Why wait till tomorrow?
