God’s Not Done

Written by Richard Kirk

GOD’S NOT DONE
In my F150 trying to stay warm, driving through a blinding winter storm
Trying to make it to see family Christmas Eve
Should’ve turned back when the road disappeared, Kept on going despite my fears
Got stuck in the middle of nowhere, yeah, that was me
I was there for hours, no phone that worked what a way to go
Then a guardian angel dressed as a cop helped pull me out of the snow
(I thought) GOD’S NOT DONE with me yet
There’s so much life I’ve got left
I can’t wait to see, the wonders that will be
GOD’S NOT DONE with me yet

Got to see family, had a good time two days later back to the grind
But I noticed something different as I drove home
White topped trees, sun in the sky, all seemed to bring a tear to my eye
I was thankful for the blessings I have known
I don’t know how I survived that storm, just glad I did
In my second chance at this life, gonna give all I can give
CH
