Really nice feel to the song. I like the twist in this line: You’d tell me bout your messed up life Tell you how I messed up mine. I think the text is missing a line near the end of the chorus.

Them Old County Roads

Written by Kay Williams/Mott

Old County Roads –Kay Williams Mott/Mark Dolin kaymott@hotmail.com 970 590-1395

It always started with a “what cha doing come get me” text
Eleven thirty I was lonely so I’d get dressed
Meet outside your daddy’s farm-cause that diesel was too damn loud
You could feel me miles away, my Jimmy would shake the ground
There at the end of your drive, lit up in them kc lights
I’d rev it up, you’d jump in, we’d disappear into the night

Chorus
I’d pick a spot you’d pick a song
From the playlist on my phone
We’d hang out all night long
Ten dusty miles from home
We’d laugh, we’d love
Twist one up get a little stoned
Mellow out ‘til the sun was up
Cause you didn’t want to be alone
Laughin’ and lovin’
On them old county roads

We’d talk hours, watch meteor showers Count every star in the sky
You’d tell me bout your messed up life Tell you how I messed up mine
French toast and bacon at Andy’s all night pub
Best place round, and only 13 bucks

(Repeat Chorus)

With a Vegas hand and a quick pull
You’d win them scratch off tickets
We’d load up, roll the windows down
Head back on out and kick it

Breakdown Chorus
I’d pick a spot you’d pick a song
We’d hang out all night long
Cause I didn’t wanna take you home

(Repeat Chorus)
