Hey, Kay!  You and Mark make a good team.  The title is pretty common.  So in the future, go for more unique titles.  I like that there is some energy to this one.  It’s not a “positive” song, but the movement keeps it more commercial.  Keep on writing!

Hi Kay
I liked the song here you wrote,  It was a good melody, singer sang it well and lyrics painted the scenario of a lot of couples that probably go through this. Thanks for sharing

Thank you Brent and Mike!  I so get it that the title is too common!  But I appreciate that reminder and I appreciate you feel a real life energy and we know ‘life keeps moving’ too. (sometimes not always to the positive:)  Thanks, guys!  Thanks from Mark:)

Lie To Me@2019 Mott/Dolin
I’m not perfect, never claimed to be
But I ain’t buying what you’re sellin me
Bet you figured I’d never find out
Boy, sit yourself down, I did some checking around

Found some pictures on the web
That crazy woman wasn’t using her head
And if I see her out in this town
Honey, there’s gonna be one serious showdown

CHORUS
You better get down on your knees
Dig out the dirt and come clean
They’ll be no loving if you lie to me
The truth won’t hurt as deep
As the secrets that you keep
They’ll be no lovin if you lie to me

Swallow your guilt and feel it burn
End of story, lesson learned
I can tell you’re stuck, don’t know how to begin
Just say you’re sorry, it won’t happen again

Chorus
You better get down on your knees
Dig out the dirt and come clean
They’ll be no lovin if you lie to me
The truth won’t hurt as deep
As the secret that you keep
There’ll be no lovin’ if you lie to me

Bridge
I won’t lose more sleep over what you done
Getting’ good and drunk, and havin your fun

Chorus
You better get down on your knees
Dig out the dirt and come clean
They’ll be no loving if you lie to me
The truth won’t hurt as deep
As the secret that you keep
Yeah, they’ll be no lovin if you lie to me

No, I can’t love you, if you lie to me
