Hi James.
This chord progression and feel/and maybe melody is just like the Commodores “I’m easy” in the 70’s.  I know that’s a long time ago, different genre. May not make much difference now, it’s just I’ve run into this on my stuff more than I can count.  Anyway, that said, I like what you do here. The first two lines could be condensed, a little redundant.  The Chorus is a little long for me.  On the plus side I really like the shoe, and puddle words in the second verse. Lonely road was used in first verse. Maybe a little approach there. Overall a good effort. As always just one person’s opinion.

Forget About You

Written by James Green

VERSE 1
Walking down this lonely road
The lonely road of life
Wondering how far I should walk
Asking myself the questions why
PC
Why am I all alone
Why don’t I have a home
Why Can’t I forget about you
CHORUS
Forget about you
And the way your hair blows in the wind
Forget about you
And the way it felt when we were friends
Forget About you
And the way you kiss so tenderly
Forget about you
And the way you gave your heart to me
I will wait for time to pass
But you can bet
All that time
Won’t help me to forget
Forget about you
VERSE 2
I’ve worn a hole in the bottom of my shoe
Walking down the lonely road of life
In every puddle I see a memory of you
But I still ask the questions why
PC
CHORUS
