Honestly found a jewelry box under mother's bed after she passed. I remember on Mother's Day she'd bring it out and we'd go through it and she'd tell stories about each item. Great Memories!

Keepsake Memories
It’s made of wood, with dings and dents
It’s left back hinge is a little bent.
The Butterfly painted on the lid,
I found this old box under momma’s bed
A jewelry box, my momma had
With my first tooth and my sister’s hair
Some of the things momma locked away
She loved to tell us all the stories everyday
[CHORUS]
Oh, Oh, those keepsake memories
Filled my momma’s heart
Oh, Oh, those keepsake Memories,
are a part
Of who I am, and who I’ll be
And, I loved hearing stories of her keepsake memories
Daddy tells stories of the times that passed
Like with him and her in that photograph
A sideways glance as my daddy begs
Says he wore her down ‘til she said yes
We had to say good bye to soon
I loved that lady to the moon
Those trinkets and all the things she saved
They won’t never ever take her place
[CHORUS]
[BRIDGE]
Now with two kids of my own
The stories of the keepsakes I pass down
I’m sure momma’s smiling with happy tears
We keep the stories going on for years
[CHORUS]
Yeah a part of who I am, and who I’ll be
And, I love Sharing stories of her keepsake memories
It’s made of wood, with dings and dents
But the left back hinge is just a little bent.
