About This Song

The title is a little different way of expressing what to call trying to get an ex lover back.

I've had a number of people say, use computer software words in this because of the title. I have resisted that. I guess I'm wondering if that would a good idea.
I had a bridge, but they're less and less in vogue now, at least from what I've heard.

First off I like the concept but it just didn’t
Seem like the drums we’re jiving with the vocals
I would like to hear more guitar. But that’s just me
Might want to rethink the last verse

Hey, Richard- thanks for sharing your song with us!  I get what people say about using more tech jargon because of the title.  But that would also give it more of a novelty vibe if it isn’t done well.  And I think enough people get the “2.0” reference without the tech reinforcement.

It’s a love song… and computer terminology isn’t very emotional.  So I don’t mind you limiting it.  Just my thoughts.  Hope it helps!

Love Two Point oh

Written by Richard Kirk

LOVE 2.0
We were lovers just out of high school, caught up in all of our dreams
With the wind at our back, thought we’d conquer the world but one day we ran out of steam
You got married and moved out to Denver, after 5 years it came to an end
You’re back in town, and my heart’s so lonely, why can’t we try this again?

Those good times we had together
All those seeds that we sowed
Baby, now we’ll do it better
We’ll call it LOVE 2.0

Let’s go down to the river and renew that spark, rekindle that fiery flame
I’ve grown up and things will be different, girl, gonna be a brand new game
You can melt me with that look in your eyes, just like you did before
I don’t like waitin’ or hesitatin’, let’s jump on this ride once more
