From my hook book, female song.
I tried to limit the wizard of oz tie in. hope that wasn't too much. Need to know if it flows lyrically and any other general suggestions.

RUBY SLIPPERS
Man, I’ve seen your type before, how could I be so blind
There must have been something ‘bout you that made me think it was different this time
Just like a dream, that’s how it seemed you hypnotized my heart
But I pulled back the curtain, now I see who you are
CH
I don’t need RUBY SLIPPERS to find my way out of here
In the blink of an eye, I’ll be flying high, watch me disappear
I won’t be looking back or crying a single tear
I don’t need RUBY SLIPPERS to find my way out of here
You came home the other night with blond hair on your shirt
Too many times you told me you have to stay late at work
You’re out of luck, I’m jumping in that truck, I got better things to do
Your wandering eye’s got me wondering why I ever took up with you
CH
I thought I found my rainbow and you were my pot of gold
But you were a tornado that spun me out of control

Sounds pretty cool, but unfortunately, I’m pretty sure the phrase “ruby slippers” is trademarked by Turner Entertainment, who owns the rights to “Wizard of Oz”.
Aside from all the “Oz” references, you could rewrite it and use “Golden Slippers”, but I’m not sure the audience would connect. Not trying to be a downer, but any kind of magic slippers for the women doesn’t sound like a good song idea to me.
For future reference, it’s always helpful to post the lyrics to your song when you upload it.
