Hi Michael, I think the melody of this song has some potiental and you are a great singer! My feel is the lyric may be a bit boring and lacks of fresh images. I don’t think that you have to rhyme each line, especially not in a ballad, but in this case I’m missing the rhyming, the sweetness, the flow, there is nothing what makes me want to sing along and connect to the song. This is only my personal view, I would consider rewriting the lyric.
