SEEDS
He’s worked those Kansas wheat fields for 37 years
His crops and kids have grown up straight and tall
The time is coming soon he’ll have to shut that tractor down
But he’s lots to do til he hears His Maker’s call
Dropped some food off at his neighbor who’s been down with the flu
Helped fixed his brother’s fence out near the creek
He’s heard “it all comes back to you,” that’s how he’s lived his life
Says “I believe that God’s not done with me”
He’s still got a lot of SEEDS to sow
He’s planted fertile fields that need nurturing to grow
Don’t put him out to pasture, he’s got a long way to go
He’s still got a lot of SEEDS to sow
He showed his grandson Todd how to fish like a pro
Helped his blind friend Jim get his groceries
Gave the waitress at the diner a little extra for her time
It’s not hard for him to find someone in need
CH
His step's a little slower and he’s got lines upon his face
Every chance he gets he’s gonna show God’s grace

What a great message of hope and being open to God’s blessings but also being open to let Him bless others through us no matter what age we are. Lovely message. The melody and lyrics sound like classic country to me. It isn’t typically the kind of music I listen to, but even so, I appreciated it very much and can’t think of any way I’d change it. I think anyone who loves the Lord would appreciaste this, it could break the barriers of preference given It’s universal message and upbeat sound.
