Hey, Jason!  Thanks for sharing this with us!  I like that it has some tempo/groove to it.  Almost always a good thing.  Nice melody- I think it fits the idea well.  Some interesting language there, too- “diva on a Cosmo cover” some nice internal rhymes “lame names/same thing.”

I guess my biggest “complaint” (not really) about this song is the hook.  If you’re looking to get this one cut, I can only imagine how many variations of this idea and hook have come across the desks of labels and publishers.

Since it’s based on a really big ad campaign from a few years back, the idea itself might feel dated and worn out to them.

With that being said, the song is well done.  It makes sense, it’s well-crafted, and it grooves.  Positive, love, etc.  So just as a song, it’s solid.  But as a potential cut, I’d like to see you bring this kind of craft to a more interesting idea/hook.

Hope that helps!  Please take a moment to leave a comment on another writer’s song.  It doesn’t have to be super-detailed or anything.  Just a thought or two about the song.  (Also, the best way to GET feedback is to GIVE feedback.)  Thanks!

I like the groove, especially the chorus. It sounds a little like she needs your money/doesn’t have her own money which may not make it easy to market in today’s world. But I could be wrong. I’d seek some female advice on this! Good groovin’!

PRICELESS
J.Street/R.Arthur

VERSE 1
I dropped a Franklin on a dinner and some margaritas
Cause She’d been going on and on about that new cantina
It Might have been high, i never thought twice
Then we’re walking through her favorite store down on the corner
Gives me a pretty please about a pair of shoes shes wanting
She’s so good at it, I swipe the plastic

CHORUS
I might max out the visa but she’s a good reason to keep it in the red
And thats alright just a long as I get to stay by her side, watching her smile,
Getting lost in her eyes
Yeah That’s priceless

VERSE 2
It ain’t because she’s like some diva a Cosmo cover
When I give her bank its just my way of saying that I love her
Yeah she’s worth it, that girl is perfect
I’ve never fell this far before my buddies think its funny
And i have to laugh myself when i listen to them call me
All of those lame names, but they’d do the same thing

CHORUS

BRIDGE
I’m broke but the richest man in the world
Cause I’m the guy that’s calls her my girl

CHORUS
