About This Song

A story about a band centered around a nightclub called "Where the Moon Meets the Sun". I read that somewhere and thought it was a great hook.

I agree this is a really interesting hook. I like it. I did find myself losing focus around mid way through the second verse, and then towards the end I started to get engaged again. I do think it has some really cool and interesting story lines and I think the more I listen to it, the more I’d find myself really liking it.

Beautiful music. Nice lyrics. I’m just not sure they go together though. Seems like the lyrics want to rock the joint like a loud downtown club but the music wants to lie on the beach or stroll down a river walk!

I like this song Dick.  It’s a catchy tune, and reminds me of another time an place (in a good way).  The lyrics are interesting as well-good story.  I can picture it…

Where the Moon Meets the...

Written by Dick Plunk

Where the Moon Meets the Sun

We met Where the Moon Meets the Sun
Played that club - had a pretty good run
When you took your turn
The crowd started rockin’, the room did a burn
We met Where the Moon Meets the Sun

Sang duet when you joined the band
No one listened to me, it was you in demand
I went back to guitar
Left you with your fans, sitting there by the bar
You met Where the Moon Meets the Sun

(chorus)
You could wail like Ms. Janis
You could croon like sweet Bonnie Rait
You held the crowd in your hand
The sounds you made worked them into a state
Oh - Where the Moon Meets the Sun

Left that club, vowed I’d never return
I was jealous of you & the fame you had earned
Sold my guitar
Took a job with a man fixing old cars
I met Where the Moon Meets the Sun

I stole back to check on the band
Still there, had not gone as we planned
You could still rock the place
That sad, tired crowd - in that small smokey space
They met Where the Moon Meets the Sun

(Repeat Chorus)
