A tribute to the men and women in uniform, from the perspective of a young veteran who gave it all for our great nation.

I was recently going through my storage unit cleaning out old pictures, papers, etc. and the thought for this song came upon me. This song is in its infancy in regard to arrangement etc. as I only have it with guitar here.

So, this song could be seen from a man or woman's perspective. It is a simple story of loss and the aftermath that inevitably follows.

I wrote this song as a reminder to all of us that we can be a huge help to family or friends - who may be struggling with a personal challenge at times - when we let them know we support them and are beside them all the way. I discovered a female vocalist with the assistance of my recording engineer who I felt would really let this message flow through a song that could be categorized as Country, or Christian or Inspirational...and I am so pleased with how it came out. I hope you agree.

This is a song written as an affirmation of what every woman already knows, and every man needs to learn.
