I wrote this song about the journey of change. Me and my family are adopting soon which is an anxious yet exciting time. We have dealt with infertility from day one but we are very blessed to have our own daughter, Harper, who is now 5, but with continued problems that led to disappointment and grief, God led us down this unfamiliar path of adoption as way for us to move forward and grow our family. "Aged like a fine wine...I've found reason from where I've been" refers to the journey of life and learning as we find our purpose and place in this life. The line "Soul been saved" was our motto for our adoption as we embrace the opportunity to save a child and give it new life and love, but the song goes on to say "by grace, my soul been saved. I"m a sinner but that's not my name", this is reminder that, as orphans once ourselves, we are saved by God the father and his amazing grace.
