I’m from Indiana originally and have written poetry since high school days. I also am a creative writer and about 6 years ago started to write lyrics more seriously and have written a lot. I have a few musicians I am co-writing with who are adding melodies and music and I really love it. I feel I’m improving daily but I am still choosing to learn more and that is why I am here. I also love photography and comedy.

I am a Lyricist. I do come up with melodies sometimes as I'm writing. I do not play anything but have a good ear. I give suggestions for the music.

It asks for a Genre above and only allows one so I chose Folk, but I feel I can write in any genre. I have written country, blues, pop, rock besides folk. I have been doing a hip hop song with a track co-writer recently. I don't know if I can say I have other artists as influences. I enjoy great lyrics so any song that has well written lyrics I am a fan reguardless of genre. So great writers I like would be Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Towns Van Zant, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson just to mention a few.
