I wrote this one with Lisa Shaffer and Shelley Skidmore.
As usual another great lyric from Brent! Love how the girl is kind of cocky in saying you will love me more when you find out all my mistakes etc. but still comes out as saying it lovingly.

Wow. Puts in perspective the irony of human romance that leads to beautiful, long lasting relationships. The irony is that when flaws shine through, you choose to find them beautiful enough to stay or repulsive enough to run. But if you choose to love the mistakes, you’ve actually learned to love… even more. Wisdom buried in this song.

VERSE:
You think I’m good as gold
Boy, you’re good as sold
You think I’m all rainbows and no rain
We go a few kisses back
But I’ve known me longer than that
Might as well tell you now, ‘cuz you’ll find out anyway
CHORUS:
If you love me long enough
You’ll see my halo’s got a little rust
I’m not the angel that you thought I was
You oughta know what you’re signing up for
Some days you’ll wanna run
Sometimes even hate me some
But if you love me long enough
You’ll love me even more
VERSE:
I’ve got a real hard head
But the good news is
That means I’ll never quit on you
I’ve got an honest mouth
And that might wear you out
But you won’t have to doubt that I’m telling you the truth
CHORUS: [REPEAT TWICE]
