Nice to know you think so! Thanks. I was surprised to see how many people like this song [second time posted]. I almost abandoned it before I ever finished it. It was created because I did a Facebook poll to see if people preferred more complicated meaningful songs or simple catchy ones. The answer was for catchy. This was what I wrote as a response to the results.

Typical west Texas two lane
And a flat horizon skyline
I can see for miles
and it all looks the same
Just like you and
All the things you say
And it’s a long way across Texas
I wonder would you go
One mile and then another
Til you got to my front door
Prove the things you’ve been sayin’ to me
Show me babey,
what it means to be
in love
With me
Go!
Because you tell me that you love me
And that you’d give anything
Because I’m “everything
but in your arms”
You say I’m every man’s dream
And you wonder what I’m doin’ all alone
Ha! Same thing I want to know! Yeah
And it’s a long way across Texas
I wonder would you go
One mile and then another
Til you got to my front door
Prove the things you’ve been sayin’ to me
Show me maybe,
what it means to be
in love
With me…
Oh you and me…
This is where the rubber
Sposta meet the road
Stop with all the talk
Show me what you really want
Cuz I’m callin’ your bluff
or I’m callin’ you home
What’s it gonna be?
Guess I’ll wait and see
Cuz it’s a long way across Texas
I wonder would you go
One mile and then another
Til you got to my front door
Prove the things you’ve been sayin’ to me
Show me really
what it means to be
in love
With me…hey yeah
it’s me…
C’mon!
