Mom says she wants me
To grow up big and strong
I need to eat my vegetables
And don’t take too long
But I do not like them
They have a terrible taste
I say “YUCK!” when I try
And make a funny face
Her concern I really do appreciate
But I just can’t lift them off my plate
If only CARROTS were A CAKE
If BEANS were BEAR GUMMIES
And my BROCCOLI was a BROWNIE
It would make then very YUMMY!
(Yum Yum Yum)
If only a PEA was a GUM BALL
And SPINACH was ICE CREAM
If BRUSSELS SPROUTS were COOKIES
I would quickly eat THEM ALL
If only CARROTS were A CAKE

Ha! I didn’t read the about before I read the lyrics and I thought to myself. This is a great song for kids or a jingle. Then I read the About This Song.
So mission accomplished!
I also would prefer ice cream to spin-itch.
