I think your chorus is strong.  I tend to struggle with choruses at times.  smile

The chorus already establishes the crystal ball and fortune teller imagery really well. As a listener, I found myself wondering if choosing one additional image thread from the verses and weaving that throughout might make the central metaphor land even harder, rather than introducing several different mystical concepts.

“Put one on me” usually refers to a kiss, right? But there’s some emotional distance between the two and it seems like he wants to reconnect and she is more hesitant. I think you need a line that pulls things together, or explains things like “love ain’t magic, I can tell by the way you look at me” so we know that she is also interested. Right now the repetition of “put one on me” seems one-sided and works against him instead of for him. Just my .02

One On Me (The Fortune...

Written by Shane Trepeaux

We fell, in an unforeseen spell of love.
And we fell, out of touch.
We live, in a full tarot card-built house
And we live, without a sound.

We go, to what seems like karma-looping work.
And we go, to Sunday church.
We call, it a Thank God it’s over day.
And we call, each other names...........

So Baby put one on me, so that I can see,
what this crystal ball holds in our love’s mystery.
‘Cause it ain’t over, ‘til it’s over.
That fortune teller knows us for sure,
……and says it’s just routine, just routine.
So Baby put one on me.

Oh, put one on me.

We pass, in long premonition-filled halls.
And we pass, when our friends call.
We take, our own deceiving mind-reading turns.
And we take, all this damn hurt!

Oh!!!!

Our way of knowin’, is by showin’
Our love’s there, and yeah, it’s still holdin’.
Our pact was golden, just not always spoken.
Let’s get this love clearly goin’!

C’mon!

So Baby put one on me, so that I can see,
what this crystal ball holds in our love’s mystery.
‘Cause it ain’t over, ‘til it’s over.
That fortune teller knows us for sure,
……and says it’s just routine, just routine.
So Baby put one on me.

Put one on me.

Put one on me.

Put one on me!

So we can see!!!!

Baby, put one on me.
