About This Song

-Too cliche' a title for me, but I liked the concept and wanted to put it on here for thoughts. Working on adding more imagery as well to this one. The guy in this song is saying he can deny, justify or cover-up just about anything he doesn't wanna admit, except for his unconcealable love for her. Thanks for listening!

Cute song. Lots of clever idioms. Should you be free or free to leave. Also the ending might be better. Try it and see. If not, keep what you’ve got.

Cute love letter type song! Lots of clever idioms. Are you free or free to leave. Also, could the ending be better if it was different. I think you may be trying to show that your answer would always be the same, but is it better that way or to say it would be. Hmmmn…

I’m Guilty As Sin

Written by Shane Trepeaux

V1:
Accuse me of ever tellin’ a lie,
I’ll cross my fingers, and always deny.
Frame me for drinkin’ way too much,
I’ll hide the cans, left in my truck.
But when you pressure me ‘cause I check you out all the time,
and you whisper in my ear,
“Hey Boy, I know what’s on your mind!”. Oh!

Chorus:
The jury’s in the gavel’s down.
So lock me up if it’s law in this town.
No attorney gonna get me out of this.
Case closed and justice served.
Sentence me on my word, yeah!
With God as my judge and he asked me again,
I’d plead guilty, I’m guilty as sin!

V2:
Set me up for hangin’ out with my friends,
I’ll get the trash, out and smoke the evidence.
Prosecute me for not goin’ to church enough,
I’ll carry my Bible and say, “The readin’s tough.”.
But when ya grill me ‘cause I say “You’re on my mind.”,
and walk through the house in that little towel,
all the dang time!!! Oh my!

Bridge:
So catch me, cuff me, swear on the Bible ya love me.
Jail me, don’t bail me, and don’t you ever, ever tell me,

I’m free!………Just throw away the key,.... please!

Chorus:
The jury’s in the gavel’s down.
So lock me up if it’s law in this town.
No attorney gonna get me out of this.
Case closed and justice served.
Sentence me on my word, yeah!
With God as my judge and he asked me again,
With God as my judge and he asked me again,
With God as my judge and he asked me again!!!!!!

I’d plead guilty, I’m guilty as sin!!!!
