About This Song

Inspired by my own Mamaw and her homemade wine and porch sipping, problem splitting ability.

Bravo Tray,
Another amazing lyric filled with great imagery.  Mamaw making homemade wine in her shorts and bra.  The lyric makes you feel like you are part of the scene.  Great chorus.  I wish you success with this one.

Muscadine Wine (country)

Written by Tray Price

Her skin was like a roadmap,
That’d been carved out by time
Stole many a heart with her charm,
but never Committed a crime
Her hair was laced with silver,
like clouds in the sky
She believed in a hard days work,
and saving every dime

On days my world turned sideways,
she’s the first call I’d make
All those years of wisdom, she’d
know exactly What to say

If you cant find what you need sittin in a pew at church
Come on over and we’ll sit out on the porch
Mason jars filled full up, If ya need to, go on and cry
There aint a problem we can't solve
Over homemade muscadine wine

my favorite picture of her
hangs proudly in my hall,
Making wine in the kitchen
in nothing but shorts and her bra
A lit Marlboro cigarette hangin out
the side Of her knowing grin,
She’d say “girl, musky stains won't wash Off
no more than un repented sins”

Her way of living was simple,
country from her toes to her head
didn't believe in holding grudges,
N’had nothing but love to spread

If you cant find what you need sittin in a pew at church
Come on over and we’ll sit out on the porch
Mason jars filled full up, If ya need to, go on and cry
There aint a problem we can’t solve
Over homemade muscadine wine

Oh…
She’s been gone a few years now, I miss her every day
Still cant drink that wine without hearing her say….

If you cant find what you need sittin in a pew at church
Come on over and we’ll sit out on the porch
Mason jars filled full up, If ya need to, go on and cry
There aint a problem we can’t try to solve
Over homemade muscadine wine

Yeah…

One jug at a time,
Lord, one jug at a time….
There aint a problem that cant be solved
Over homemade muscadine wine
