As mentioned, briefly in my Bio, after cutting off four fingers from my left hand several years ago.
The good news was my hand surgeon at the time was able to re-pin all four fingers back in place and thus he gave me back my hand. The bad news he gave me after mutable surgeries was, I would never regain enough hand function to be able to play guitar again. In all honesty, I was happy at that time to have my hand with all fingers back in place. However, after the following three years passed, I decided it was time to sell all my guitars. That is when reality kicked in, I had not played an instrument or sang for the last three years while my hand was healing up. This was not something I was able to accept as the new normal.
So, I found myself driving to a Music store in Nashville one day, and while there, I walked straight pass all the guitars hanging up (something I never did in the past) and I picked up a Ukulele for the very first time.
I realized right away that the cords shape's we different from a guitar, so a store attendant, saw my struggle to understand the instrument, He kindly brought me a Ukulele book, opened it up to the basic cord pages. And I quickly realized that just by holding down one note on the fret board, I was able to play a C cord, holding down two notes, I was able to play an F cord. Even though it was a struggle for the fingers on my left hand to make these shapes, I found myself doing it, and I thought, My God, I think I can learn to play this little Ukulele? So long story short, I bought that Ukulele, the book and went home to learn more chords. I was so elated that I was making some king of sound again with this small instrument, that I wrote my first Ukulele song in the first Hour of owning the instrument.
So, I wrote and recorded this original song, "Lord lead me and guide me" as a testimony to thank God that he never leaves us through our trials, and that the prayers of all my friends and family members helped bring me through this very difficult time and now several years later, I am writing and singing and performing brand new songs with my little Ukulele!
I would love your feed back.

“Lord lead me and guide me”
Lord lead me and guide me, and walk beside me you’ll never leave, you’ll never leave, me alone ….
Through trials, temptations. And all tribulations, I know, I’ll never be alone. ……
Looking back, through the years, at all the troubles I’ve known……
Was woven through my tears, all the love you’ve shown……. Lord,
lead me and guide me, and walk, beside me,
you’ll never leave, you’ll never leave me alone.
Instrumental break
Looking back, through the years, at all the troubles I’ve known……
Was woven through my tears, all the love you’ve shown……..
Lord, lead me and guide me, and walk, beside me,
you’ll never leave, you’ll never leave me alone.
As the eagle, fly's, Lord so will I, when you come, to take me home………
I’ll see loved ones over there whom you’ve dried every tear.
And we’ll sing as eternity rolls…...
Looking back, through the years, at all the troubles we’ve known……
Was woven through my tears, all the love you’ve shown……..
Lord, lead me and guide me, and walk, beside me,
you’ll never leave, you’ll never leave me alone……..
Lord, lead me and guide me, and walk, beside me,
you’ll never leave, you’ll never leave me alone,
You’ll never leave, you’ll never leave, .............. me, ............ a ..............lone…
