My 82 yr young dad came to visit and we decided to write a song about his new love. They dated in high school and after my mother's pass several years ago they rekindled their old love.

They were just kids and her brother his friend
He played at her house when she was just ten
Later in school they dated as friends
But she was so young he thought it should end
They both had families as the years went by
Then she called of her brother’s final goodbye
They had found they were both alone
So, he thought about it later and picked up the phone.

great story for a song… well written… sweet… very james taylor… you have a good voice… seems like there is some chorus on the vocal that i dont think you need… a pure vocal would sound much better and like i say your voice is great!
