About This Song

You'll do absolutely everything for the ones you love, regardless whether you want to or not. Love is beyond powerful and we often find ourselves lost amongst it. The vibe I want listeners to get it relaxed and loved--how I feel about the ones I love

Nice Valentines tune! I like the double-tracked vocals and the languid vibe of the tune a lot - good job!

Sweet song with a very effective production. I only had two comments:
First - I was a little baffled by the line “I’ll fix the past for you” - curious what you meant by that.
Second - the chord at the end of the first line in the chorus felt a little dissonant to me, which normally I would like. But this is such a pretty song, it seemed a little jarring.

Having said all that - I really like this song.

Hi Spencer, this is a great song, I love that “Bee Gees” feel harmonizing.  My 17 yr. old daughter was also listening and really liked it too.  I agree with Dick, the first line of the second verse is not that clear in its meaning. Really nice song smile

Thank you all for the feedback! I’m really glad that you all enjoyed it—we tried to incorporate more MIDI and electronic work to it, and for those of you who are familiar with me, that is something that I am moving towards.

Dick—the chords to the songs are only AMaj and EMaj for the most part, so the dissonance that you’re hearing may be coming from a mixture of the acoustic guitar, bass, and synth work.

Dick & Mary—The song is basically about the things that you’ll do without any question because you are so “lost in someones love”. The first line of the second verse “I’ll fix the past for you”, is in reference to whom the song is about. She had a rough past with relationships and guys, so the line is meant to say that I’m here to ‘fix the past’ and allow you to no longer even think about those times. I can see where the confusion can come though without any explanation!

Really nice song!  “I’ll fix the past for you.”  does seem a little confusing.  I really like the dissonance that the chord adds to the overall structure.  Good job.  I really like it.

Lost in Your Love

Written by Spencer Saylor

I’ll pull out the chair for you, and open the car door
Buy you lots of flowers, and treat you like you’ve never been treated before
And I’m going to hold you tight, you’ll feel so good, you know it’s right
And I’m going to listen close, and capture your stories for note to note

You’ve got me hooked, what can I do?
I’m lost in your love
I’m lost in your love

I’ll fix the past for, and take care of you when you’ve got the flu
And I’ll buy all your favorite foods, and relax you when you’ve got attitude
I’ll watch the stars with you; I know that you love that when you’re feeling blue
Cuddle up nice and close, and remind you that I love you the most

You’ve got me hooked, what can I do?
I’m lost in your love
I’m lost in your love

And sometimes it’ll get rough, but I’ll make the difference of
You and me together, forever

I’m lost in your love
I’m lost in your love
I’m lost in your love
I’m lost in your love
