I grew up in a small town in south Georgia, but moved up to Atlanta 10 years ago. I feel like life has not slowed down since I moved, so I wanted to write a song that captured my simple heart, mind and roots.

Verse 1
I Like an early morning coffee
With a paper on the porch
And the smell of fresh rain after it pours
I like driving with my windows down
In my old beat up ford
I like to stare out at the land
And praise the lord
Chorus
It’s the simple things in life
That keeps a man satisfied
Like a bass on the line
Or sitting passing time
Oh it ain’t always easy
Being a man
But we do what we can to keep it simple
Verse 2
I like the trees in full bloom
When the water reflects the moon
And the birds begin to sing
And do what they do
