The song was inspired by my son and his dog Buddy, who he had adopted, became a member of his growing family, but ultimately had to put down.
Though the song will be released on my next album (~Mar '23), I always welcome constructive criticism which I can employ down the road.

We grew old together but his eyes were always bright
He was always ready to go for a ride

I’m sure he thought he’s flyin’ 6’ off the ground
