Rainy days and Mondays
Just like Karen Carpenter had
Yesterday was Sunday
Had a cold beer in my hand

I left work at five
I was almost home when I
Saw a sign saying


           Come on into The No Work Zone
           Happy Hour we got $1 beer
           Band's always playing, all we are saying is
           Mondays feel like Fridays in here
           Kick the dust off your boots and lose those Monday blues
           Ain't no good reason to go home
           Take the next right at the next light
           We'll see you in The No Work Zone

I knew it was true nothing's waiting for me
At home since you said goodbye
I could go home watch tv
Sit around and just cry

But I pulled up to the light
And there on the pole to my right
Was a sign saying
