Clever!  What a great way to use that hook.  It actually made me want to do a shot and light up and it’s only 8:55am.  Best wait until 9.  Seriously, good hook.  I can picture the scene and the situation!

Very well done, nice creative twist with the hook and the lyrics play it out very well.  Another fine song

I like this. Very witty word play and good imagery. I especially like the surprise butt reference. Well done!

Second Hand Smoke

Written by Dave Lenahan

Second hand smoke from an old flame (Is killing me)
D. Lenahan, T. Skeen, A. Fekkos

V-1
I crushed a half pack of my cigarettes
Threw them in the trash
And I never lit up again

After ten shots some handcuffs
A Memphis cop
I aint drank a drop since

Rise
Now in the mirror behind the bar I’m facing the cold hard truth
Watching her teasing him blowing the chalk off his pool cue

Chorus
I’m on the first step to quitting her
But she sure looks hot in the black t-shirt
And those skin tight jeans are tempting me
Like the cowboy killers and the wild turkey
Now I survived the cravings from the whisky and the nicotine.
But, this second hand smoke from an old flame
Is killing me

V-2
When she laughs it all comes back
They must make a patch
Or, some kind of gum to chew

Watching his hands on her hips
I need a quick fix
Cause, I’m about to come unglued

Rise
Now I’m staring at the ashtray and there’s a butt just long enough
And if she touches his again, I’m gonna fire one of them up

Chorus (Repeat)

Rise
They say there’s 12 steps to quitting now their two stepping on the floor
I don’t know if my heart can take eleven more

Chorus (Repeat)
