Uncle Brent ...

Hi Paul,
Great departure from your typical style … it has a 50s-60s feels on the Verse.  Lol ... This song is middle finger that I like but it needs some Do-Whop backing vocals.  My favorite line “Wish I’d never met you, Never seen your face” is a great contrast to the up-beat music.  Nice job!

Thanks, Brent

© April 21, 2021

Verse
I'm growing tired of this city
And this city… is growing tired of me
Plugged in twenty four hours
That’s never who I . . . . wanted to be

Chorus
Wish I’d never met you
Never seen your face
Tangled in empty promises
Now I’m stuck in this place
How much more can I take
Of this dangerous embrace

Verse
You were so seductive
And you knew . . . .how to draw me in
Every time I tried to get away
You pulled me back . . . . again and again

Chorus repeat

Bridge
Pleasure and pain
Running through my veins
There’s no escape
Driving me insane

Intro

Chorus repeat
