Hey Patrick, Since you guys posted this song twice- I’ll replay my comments here too. I’ve now heard it like 10 times and it only gets better. Excellent vocals and production- the whole things seems radio-ready to me. Okay, from a few days ago…
“There’s a lot to love about this song. First, the title grabs you of course- such a teaser to figure out how this thing is going to work lol. But it’s tight all the way through with a very punchy melody. Clever rhymes and near-rhymes with Sangria and see ya, and older… mostly sober, and bad decisions…wasn’t that some livin’, etc. BUT the hook for me is something so subtle and weird- it’s in the fully unexpected melody line in the last 2 lines of the chorus- what is this…like some kind of Arabesque string line on ‘hit rewind and drink you on my mind’ lol. Makes me want to hear it again and again, and I don’t know why. Last point: If I call my new band Budget Buzzed do I need to pay you guys a royalty?! Hahaha- another excellent song, keep inspiring us”
