This one would probably fall into a Country Rock genre - loved taking a sad situation (true story by the way) and making a more upbeat and positive song out of it. The lady I wrote it for is a strong character and I feel this shone through the song.
Dear Catheryne,
Thanks so much! I listed to your beautiful song Who’s Gonna Miss and read the lyrics carefully. It is an extremely deep song, obviously coming from the heart x thank you for sharing

Linda,
Thats a rock song girl !!!!
I love the guitar work and the cowbell.
It’s got a bit of a “Little Feat” groove.
And the story has some great lines.
That one works for me.

MADAMOISELLE
She was couped up in a barn/
wearing Madamoiselle and Louis Vouton
And red lipstick/
To make herself feel beautiful/
She was down and out in her life/
Lost all of her dreams and all of her pride/
But to hell with them she said/
I will survive/
And on a broken down piano/
She sings the blues the best she can/
And through the muggy grey cloud/s
She can always see the silver lining/
CHORUS
They said she was washed up, thrown out/
You should of heard the gossip in that small town/
Well we cried until we almost smiled/
And in between the make shift and make do/
A little light still shined through and/
Noone could do it so well/
So give it up everybody let’s hear it/
for Madamoiselle
She balanced needles and thread in her hand/
And glasses of red and her wedding band/
and her children’s smiles and/
snap shots from the river bank/
She had a carpet of field for a living room/
It was bitter sweet like that french perfume/
And crystal lobes/
deflecting all bitter gloom/
CHORUS
She woke up one morning with a feeling of dread/
But instead of crying she laughed instead/
There were some swallows nesting/
a home right above her head/
And as they hauled the trailer outta there,
she left that trash along that road/
and with a sultry smile she said goodbye to that/
Broken down piano/
CHORUS
She never was washed up/
Or thrown out/
It was just some gossip in a small town/
Well we cried, but we always smiled/
And in between the make shift and make do/
A little light still shined through and/
Noone could do it so well,
So give it up everybody let’s hear it
Give it up everybody let’s hear it/
Give it up everybody let’s hear it/
for madamoiselle
She was couped up in a barn /
Wearing Madamoiselle and Loui Vuitton/
and red lipstick
And man she looked beautiful,
