Holy Cow Paul. This song is beyond deep. “Broken down and bleeding.. criticized, no healing. Heaven called there waiting.. but the Hell lines kept on *trading”

Bless you man.

When those trades are finally broken off is when that breakthrough can begin. Thank you man.

This mix sounds really good. That sounds like a resonator and a slide guitar track, but I’m not sure. I just know it sounds COOL! I listen to all of the tracks you post on here, but like I said in my post on your newest song, these last two demos you’ve posted sound awesome! Makes me kind of jealous to listen to ‘em! smile Great songs. Great job.

This song is extremely effective; love the way the music, lyrics, and production gel together.  Plus your vocals are always spot on of course. I can definitely see this as the opening theme for a series or feature film- in fact I wouldn’t change a thing. The mood and performance is haunting and perfect.  One small typo in the first verse- it should probably be “Heaven called they’re waiting.”  Another great song by you, Paul!

Sins of our fathers

Written by Paul deMarco

“Sins of our fathers”
Written by Paul deMarco and Kellie Niederhelman ©2020

Verse
Broken down and bleeding... (The sins of our fathers)
Criticized no healing... (The sins of our fathers)
Heaven called there waiting... (The sins of our fathers)
But the Hell hounds keep on trading (The sins of our fathers)

Chorus
When the levee breaks
And the streets run red
You can't escape
The ghosts in your head

Well you can run
But don't try to hide
From the sins that our fathers cried

Verse
The Serpent bleeds the well dry... (The sins of our fathers)
Tempted by the truth of life... (The sins of our fathers)
Humanity falls from heaven to hell... (The sins of our fathers)
Hidden truths never tell... (The sins of our fathers)

Chorus
