The second verse more or less played itself out on a tv show I saw, and gave me the idea for this song. Sometimes we all need a little help in stressfull situations.

A LITTLE NUDGE
I was 6 years old on the top of a hill, snow piled everywhere
Waitin’ my turn to slide my sled, I was pretty scared
Though I’d seen others do it, my heart was racing like a train running down the tracks
Brother gently pushed, said, “there’s nothin’ to it” there was no turning back
A LITTLE NUDGE was all I needed to get me to go
A LITTLE NUDGE got me believing I was on a roll
Once I got started, I found it wasn’t all that tough
All I really needed was A LITTLE NUDGE
I’d been dating Molly for almost, it never felt so right
Been thinking about asking her to marry me, but the words were stuck inside
Then her best friend said Molly was ready, ready to take her vows
And if I was gonna pop the question, there was no time like now
CH
(Optional bridge)
There’ve been times I’ve been on the fence, not sure what to do
Having someone to spur me on has helped pull me through

Nice song, Richard. It’s a cute song. Both verses work with that title and hook. The only thing that caught my attention was that third line in the chorus, “Once I got started, I found it wasn’t all that tough”. For instance, would Molly be offended at the notion that you thought asking her to marry and spending the rest of your life with her as something you thought would be “tough”? Lol. And… once you “got started” down that hill, or planning a life with Molly, were you thinking about it not being tough, or were you thinking about how fun and exciting it was? Just a thought. Here’s another thought: You could also reflect on what might’ve been had you not been given a nudge, and how thankful you are for those nudges. You might be lonely, single guy still sitting at the top of that hill, never knowing what that awesome sled ride through life feels like. Thanks again for sharing your song!
