The singer answers his lover question as to why she is more special than anyone else he has known
I wonder if my orig title You Put the P into Passion would be better.
I also hope its understood that the bridge explains the L into Love part, that is, the communication factor. Not just that she turns him on physically.

YOU PUT THE L INTO LOVE
Lying here with you, you ask a question
Why I think you’re different than other girls I’ve known
It only takes a moment of quick reflection
I’ll tell you why you make my engine go
You put the “P” into passion and the “L” INTO LOVE
You light a fire inside of me like no one’s ever done
You electrify my body, Yeah, you’ve got the magic touch
You put the “P” into passion and the “L” INTO LOVE
Your fingers on my skin fill me with pleasure
My heart pounds a tattoo on my ribs
Just to be with you I’d walk across the desert
I sink like quicksand in your red hot sizzling kiss

We’ve got the smoothest conversation, words fall into rhyme
You’ve got such anticipation, like you can read my mind

Richard, I like the groove. I’m left wondering what the hook means. Usually when I see this convention there’s a double meaning. You put the O into love, for instance, could be referencing making love. Something like you put the full int Wonderful is another example of this convention.
Roger Miller did it the best, IMO, and sang “the last word in lonesome is me.”
There’s some cool imagery in here too, specifically in V2. If it were mine I’d try and get the images a bit more parallel. First, I’d take the first line and make it a metaphor like line two… something like your fingers on my skin rev up my engine. You might consider continuing that throughout the verse.
Anyway, some quick thoughts! Best of luck my friend.
