This is a song I've written as a duet (I'm singing both parts because its just me and my pets right now!) I wanted the song to just stay retrospective...and not get inspirational or angry or add some life lesson at the end but just keep with the one emotion and just dig into that. Hopefully I accomplished that?
Curious about suggestions for the chorus melody, not in love with the chords but I like the words.

Very nice song you got here, I enjoyed it very much. I think its super relatable on an emotional level but I find myself wanting to connect with the story as well but I cant because it leaves me with too many questions. Like who are they to each other and why did they get away, was it something you he did wrong, she did wrong or were they both doing it wrong, etc. I too often write songs with more focus on the emotions rather than the story but this one makes me want to hear more of the story. We all know that things happen for reasons we don’t understand but when it comes to songs I want the song to help me understand rather than leave me guessing. Of course this is nothing more than my opinion and preference. All that said, I like your style, I like the song and thought you did a great job!
