The story never gets old
It’s an anthem for the ages
the greatest story ever told
‘bout the angels and the wise men
bearing frankincense and gold
Sing it to me one more time
‘cause the story never gets old
Tell me how the Christ child
came to save the world from sin
how He was born of a virgin
then tell me again
how Joseph laid the baby Jesus
in a manger lined with straw
in a little town called Bethlehem
in a lowly cattle stall

In a field outside of Bethlehem
shepherds watched their flocks by night
when an angel of the Lord appeared to them
and they were terrified
when suddenly a heavenly host
above the treetops did descend
sayin Glory to God in the highest
