Toe tappin classic country rock song.
Any feedback would be great, considering re-recording it and what direction to take from it. Is there a market for this type of song anymore?

Just cause he's sweet dont mean he's sweet on you
Just cause he bought you a drink dont think about no wedding ring
Men like him are a dime a dozen, full of words but no good for nothin
just cause he's sweet dont mean he's sweet on you
I know he said you look nice, but girl you better think twice
about the way he's coming on, isnt it a little strong?
Just cause he's alone dont mean he's lonely too
just cause he spoke to you see through what he's a tryin to do
This Aint no place to meet Prince Charming
unless you like heartache and lying
Just cause he's alone dont mean he's lonely for you
look into those eyes and see the starry nights
where you're crying all alone, just waiting by the phone
Repeat verse one.

Hey, Sandra!
Thanks for sharing your song with us. I dig the feel, but to address your question… this kind of song is a hard pitch in mainstream country these days. There’s just not that many female artists, and most of them are more pop-country than this.
That being said, there’s definitely good writing here. I like the feel/vibe/tempo. I like the wordplay “he’s sweet… sweet on you” etc. Nice work.
Hope that helps! Please take a moment to leave a comment on another writer’s song. It doesn’t have to be super-detailed or anything. Just a thought or two about the song. (Also, the best way to GET feedback is to GIVE feedback.) Thanks!
