originally this was from my hook book as the singer saying, there's a real spark that's been lighted here between he and his new love. and that there's no way for sure of knowing where it all might lead
I really want to take this to a different area where the singer is sure this is going to work out, or at least as much as anyone can say that. I. E. this love IS built on concrete not on sand.
But I haven't been able to get that changed, esp the hook itself.
Hey, Richard! Thanks for sharing your song. I like the title - it makes me want to know what your song is about.
I understand your dilemma about wanting to make it certain that it’s concrete. Hmmm… How about “this house that we’re building will be strong enough to stand. ‘Cuz we know the difference between concrete and sand.”
Something like that? Of course, you’ll need to adjust your verses appropriately. But it’s basically saying how you both know you have to lay down a firm foundation for the relationship to work. Maybe you didn’t in the past, and that’s why you know the difference. Just a thought.
Please pay it forward by leaving a comment or review on another writer’s song. Thanks!
