When I grow old mama
And my days are through
When I grow old mama
And my days are through
I got no need mama
To lay my burden on you
If you see me rustin’
Don’t you grease my chain
If you see me rustin’
Don’t you grease my chain
Ain’t no oil mama
Gonna ease this poor boy’s pain
l hear that train a comin
Crossin’ over that county line
The Good Lord heard my prayer
Brought that train in right on time
When I close my eyes
Lay me ‘neath that willow tree
When I close my eyes
Lay me ‘neath that willow tree
Don’t you shed a tear no mama
Let that willow weep for me
l hear that train a comin
Crossin’ over that county line
The Good Lord heard my prayer
Brought that train in right on time
The Good Lord heard my prayer
Brought that train in right on time

Billy, you’ve sure got a knack for the blues!
Know what I remembered most about your song? It was :
If you see me rustin’
Don’t you grease my chain
If you see me rustin’
Don’t you grease my chain
Ain’t no oil mama
Gonna ease this poor boy’s pain
This would make a great chorus, then use it after each verse etc..It’s really catchy! You could even make your tiles as “Don’t You Grease My Chain”
But, whatever you do, you sure know how to sing and play the blues! I love it!
