Any and all feedback appreciated.
Thanks, Brent! I appreciate you taking time to listen and comment! I don’t play out—just write ‘em and get /em demo’d. The song would work well with bar bands, I think. Thanks, again!

Wrong Road to Heaven
Words and Music by David Sanchez (ASCAP)
Verse 1
I'm on the wrong road to heaven, but Lord I sure enjoy the ride
On the highway to hell, stuck in overdrive
Spend my money down in New Orleans
High stakes rollin’ chasin’ Cajun Queens
On the wrong road to heaven, but Lord I sure enjoy the ride
Verse 2
I'm on the wrong road to heaven, but Lord won't you let it slide
That Mississippi moonshine it’s got me howlin’ tonight
Mamma ain't proud of the company I keep
We're getting loud down on Bourbon Street
I’m on the wrong road to heaven, but Lord I sure enjoy the ride
Bridge
Keep Peter waitin' at them pearly gates
‘Cause I ain't ready to get myself straight
Still got time to mend my ways
Paradise wasn't lost in a day
Guitar solo
Verse 3
I'm on the wrong road to heaven, but Lord I'm feeling so inspired
Just trying to have a good time, before I'm old and tired
The Devil's trying to get me in his grip
It's Saturday night and I don't give a rip
On the wrong road to heaven, but Lord I sure enjoy the ride

Hey, David! Cool tune- thanks for sharing it with us. I don’t know if you play out live with a band, but I bet this song goes for about 20 minutes! It’s fun. Cool title. Simple, catchy. I like how the 2nd verse keeps the hook in lines 1 & 4, then changes up the back end but keeps the similar rhyme: ride/slide. Overall, I dig it. Nice work!
