My husband recently shared one of his favorite psalms (71) with me, and I could immediately understand why he loves it. No matter what stage of our lives we're in, God is there for us--He will not forsake us!

I wrote this song in 1996, and the lyrics fit today--almost 30 years later! Sadly, some earthly things don't seem to change, but I'm thankful that God never changes!

For days when I feel lost, I try to remember that God is always with me, and I'm never alone

While attending a Christmas service, I noticed a man sitting on his own--no one really near him, and this song started stirring in my heart. Living alone doesn't necessarily mean we're lonely--especially when we have God in our lives--but it's important to reach out to those in need.

I get so caught up in Christmas preparations, gift-buying, etc., that sometimes I forget that I've already been given the greatest gift of all--Jesus. How awesome is it, that the almighty God would give us His Son, who would then give us His life to save our sins??!

It's easy to take for granted all that God gives and does for me. Simply waking up each day is a gift! My prayers may not be answered the way "I" think they should, but I need to trust God to provide.
