I was listening, as I do most days, to some "Positivity" lectures online. This lady was reading a book that I love and kept saying "your personal truths" but I kept hearing it as Personal Truce. After about the third or fourth time I thought I had better write that down!
I started working on the song a few months later and quickly realized I was writing over my head as far as the subject matter goes.
I enlisted the help of Carin Fradin and am SO glad that I did. Here is our empowerment song titled Personal Truce.

I started writing Anthem songs with my Co-Writers (listed in the lyrics). I had always wanted to write a song with "America" in the chorus, but not in the title. So....

I was on a third rewrite on a song that a producer insisted I make changes on. Was kind of in a funk over it and beating myself up as a songwriter. I put on a Pat Green record just to chill out and one of the songs made me say, out loud, “I wish I could write like that”.... then I did!
