My goal in songwriting is to touch people in the three minutes or so that I get to share with them.
Whether I can make them laugh, cry or just think about something they hadn’t thought about until we met during the course of my song, that’s the ultimate.
Basically, I believe music can and does change the world, good, bad or indifferent.
Or as Charlie Daniels used to say, “Rough, wrong or raw.”
