I love the pre-Dark Side, Pink Floyd feel. Cord changes like that hold my attention and make the single lyric work. You might try more starts and stops to extend the idea further, breaking down to just the vocal, or just the picking - stuff like that. Think of how Fatboy Slim or Aviccii can take just a few ideas and put them in variations to make a hit.
